A game I like.

When the word Carrom comes to my mind, the image that crosses is the dusty skin colored board hung in my room to enhance its look with dust forming a vital part. I took this board and cleaned it for a change when my Aunt saw it ( and did recognise it as what it should be) and asked for a game . After all the background cleaning and powder dusting, we proceeded for the match. It was fun, all sitting together and playing in teams of two, yelling at others and trying to disturb their concentration when they aim at a coin. At this point, you would attach so much importance to the color red that every other color seems so colorless. My trick is to sing songs in my sweet voice and improve opponent's concentration and keep moving my fingers in the air just vertically above the coin the opponent is aiming at . I have always loved the matches, especially if my team is winning :).If my mom comes into the arena, the coins keep disappearing at really fast pace.
There are lots of group games but Carrom is special, its a group and an individual game. When we were small, all my cousins who came used to play . It is more fun when side coins are allowed. Just sweep it with your hands !.The craze for this game is seen the most in Assam. In every house, you can find people playing this game in their homes and even in office.If you have a board which forms a part of interior decoration in your house, please do try your hand at it for once. I am sure you will enjoy it .
